How to turn OFF/ Hide contact from appearing in “Shared with you”: iPhone / iOS 15

 

The shared with you feature in the iOS 15 is really cool feature to managed the shared content from supported apps like Apple podcast, photo, Apple music, safari link etc . Shared with you Helps to easily find data shared data and check the chat history as per the shared data.

This is a really cool feature from the Apple but sometimes as a iPhone users you may wish to not see data from some of the contacts to avoid spam or unnecessary information in shared with you section.

Gratefully Apple have taken care of that in the the iOS 15 and you have option to control whose data will appear in the Shared with you Section of Photos app :

Here is how you can hide. block /remove a user contact from appearing in “Shared with you”

1. Go to Messages, Open the Chat with the user that you want to hide.
2. Tap the name at the top of the thread.
3. Turn off Show in Shared with You.
4. Tap Done.

This is really great way to hide a user in “Shared with you” as the content will still appear in the Messages thread, but it won't appear in the Shared with You section.
