How to fix Google Play Error "The Code that you have entered has expired" ?

 Fix Google Play Movie Digital Code shown as Expired while Works on Studio/Sony/Fox? 


Many users are facing issue with Expired Digital code on Google Play. The issue is the Digital codes work fine on the Studio like Warner Bros, Sony Pictures and Fox but does not work on Google Play and gives error “The Code that you have entered has expired".


Google play unable to redeem valid digital code


 While redeeming the redemption token , it is coming up as expired on Google Play. The issue is very annoying as of codes retrieved from Blu-ray movie gifts over Christmas and additional Blue-ray purchases during the Christmas/New Year sales. But this is highly annoying to see that none of the titles are redeeming on Google Play, and  are coming up expired.


 



The issue is faced on both Google Play and Website. Codes show fine on studio site but once you click redeem via  Google Play the unique token for Google Play is coming up expired on both the GP app and website. This seems to be issue with the Google Play site and that is why digital codes are not working on Google Play. We have listed some possible fix for the issue. 


Current Status : The issue is reported with the Google Support team. And a bug has been opened on this and you can expect a fix the issue soon. 


How to fix. Digital Code is valid on the studio website but the Google Play code comes up as expired “The Code that you have entered has expired ”?


Fix : Try changing location on Google Play


You may try to redeem the digital codes from a different country or location. If Google Play says that digital codes are not valid in this country, please try to change location in the app or ask some friend to redeem them from different country.



Fix : Try on Website


The Google play app may have some issues like not on the latest version etc and you may not receive the fix for the issue until your Google Play app is up to date. To check if the issue is fixed by Google please try the website version of Play and check if Digital codes work  there. 



Fix : Contact Google


As the issue is reported to Google Support team, so you can expect the fix in few days but if the issue still exists for you we recommend you to contact Google play support and communicate directly about your issue here.
