Many Carplay users are facing issue with using Siri with Carplay. The issue is the Siri will added some words by its own in Carplay. The issue started after latest update to recent iOS 15/ 15.3 update. The issue is seen with different cars like Outlander, Hyundai, Mitsubishi etc.
Siri adding random words to message : Carplay iphone 13 |
Siri adds some random words like “Hey”, “No”, , “oh” etc to the text message in Carplay. Usually the random words/lines are added by Siri at starting of message and happens randomly. It only happens in the car using CarPlay otherwise Siri works fine which makes CarPlay next to useless in the car sadly.
One such example is if you say hey Siri send a text message she reply’s “what would you like to say”, and tell her “I’m on my way” and the text she sends says “What would you like to say I’m on my way”.
How to fix Siri adding random works to message in Carplay: iPhone 13/ 12 Pro max, iPhone XS,X,XR, iOS 15
Fix : Use Name with Message
One easy workaround would be to just say “Hey Siri, text [name] I’m on my way.” You shouldn’t need to actually wait for Siri to ask what it is you want to say if you tell her directly. You could also invoke Siri directly with your car’s voice prompt button and go straight to “text [name] I’m on my way.” This should be a good workaround to fix the issue.
Fix : Hard reboot
The Siri may have issue with Carplay due to software glitch. To fix that a simple restart to the system and iPhone can fix the issue.
Fix : Update to latest iOS
The iPhone running on iOS 14 do not see this issue. The Siri issue with Carplay seems to be with iPhone on iOS 15 version. Apple should be releasing a permanent fix for the issue in upcoming version of iOS 15, so please make sure to update your iPhone to latest version always.
