Notification Not clearing when messages are read on other devices: iPhone/iPad/Mac

iPhone users are facing issue with read Notification not synching across different Apple devices. If you have three devices like iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, macbook air and receives an notification but when you read a notification about any app like Whatsapp, Facebook,  iMessage Notification on one device it will not clear from other device. Notifications not clearing when messages are read on other devices in iOS.

Message notifications not clearing from all devices on iPhone, iPad etc even on the latest iOS 14. Which makes is annoying to see same notification on each devices and clearing them manually. 

Even when the notification is read on one device and cleared the read status of text messages not syncing across iMessage between iPhone and iPad. 

How to fix notifications don’t clear across devices after read and still lying on all other devices like iPad: iPhone 12 Pro Max, 11,XR,XS , iPad 4, iOS 14/14.5/14.6

Fix 1: Turn off WIFI assist

This seems to be a bug in latest iOS 14 and workaround to fix that is to turn Off WIFI assist. Go to Settings > Cellular or Settings > Mobile Data. Then scroll down and tap the slider for Wi-Fi Assist-> Turn it Off

Fix 2: Log out from iCloud

One easy way to address the issue to logout from iCloud on each device-> hard reboot the device and after that login again to your iCloud account. 

Fix 3: Update the iOS 

This is software gltich in the iOS and permanent fix for the issue will be released by Apple in next release of iOS. Some users are reporting that latest iOS 14.6 while for some the updates does not help. Please try to update the device on the latest iOS version across all devices.
