Facebook messenger is a great way to communicate with friends and lots of new feature are much liked by users. But there are issue faced by the FB messenger users, in the iPhone there is no option to add GIF’s.
The issue started recently and many iPhone / iPad users are facing issue that GIFs disappeared from Facebook messenger for iOS. It seems like Gif option missing on iPhone messenger.

In that messenger chat window when you will select + sign button, there are only 3 options “ poll, create a room and a dollar sign but no gif option is there.
There is another issue faced by user is user cannot download / view GIFs sent to on messenger and if you try to download GIF it is stuck in infinite loop.

Fix : Click on the Smiley face/Emoji icon
In the bar where you type there is a smiley face. Click that and it will bring up. Please note when you tap the smiley face icon in the comments bar, the icon screen pops up and to the left is the option to insert a gif instead.
If still GIF are not showing up on your messenger account, then check if GIF is behind the sticker button.
Fix : Check on Mac/ PC and update the app
If GIF are not loading on iPhone then as a workaround you can use the messenger on the mac/ PC and check if the GIF are loading fine. Further, please ensure to keep your FB messenger app up to date.
