How to fix Cold water Not working but Hot is ?

Using Hot and cold Water Faucet is common in every household. But Many people are reporting issue with the Cold Water is not coming out whereas the hot water. 

Many a time you will be surprise that why is my hot water working but not my cold. The issue started to happen gradually. The Basin/Bathroom cold water tap has gone from fully flowing, to half pressure, to a dribble, then to a drip and now nothing comes out.

Why no cold water from Tap

This is annoying as single handle faucet is working and there is no cold water and this could be due to many reasons like  no cold water pressure. There are some checks and preventive steps to fix it which we have mentioned below. 

Fix for Only Cold Water Isn't Coming out of Tap ?

Fix : Check Base of the Tap

In some case the problem could be a faulty base of the tap, which is meant the cold tap couldn't be un-tightened. 

Fix : Check for sediment blocking

There may be some sediment blocking the line. Many faucets have a small filter right at the end (where the water comes out) that you can unscrew and clean out. Make sure to check it.

Fix : Put Hot water 

If cold water is not working then there is fix to put a plastic bag over sink faucet with a little hot water running. The reason could be pretty much suffocating my faucet. Just keep it this way for few minutes and this should work.  

Fix : Check for frozen pipe

If only cold water is not coming out then it could be a frozen pipe if you live in a cold area. If this is the case you may use a blow dryer to heat up the pipe and to prevent that please put insulation around it.
