How to fix PS4 TV and video apps not working

Many PS4 users are facing issue with playing Video apps in PS4, that the Video Apps and TV won’t load in the PS4. While trying to open Disney+, Netflix, or Hulu, Amazon Prime , it will play and then go black and take back to the home menu. The issue started all of sudden that the apps were working fine with the PS 4 but next time  when tries to watch more the TV & Video page won't load. The icons are there but nothing is highlighted.

Fix 1 : Disconnect and reconnect to the Internet, and restart the ps4.

The PS4 not playing TV and video apps probably can be a bug in the PS4 update or glitch in the PS4 system. A normal restart to the PS4 should fix such issue. Please restart the PS4 and check if works.

Fix 2 : Reset the PS4

A bit painful fix for this issue is to reset the PS 4 completely.  This will reset all the setting in the PS4. Please note that this may or may not help in fixing the issue as many users are able to fix the PS4 TV issue with it. 

Steps to reset the PS 4:

• -Sign in to your PS4 and go to setting-> menu, you'll be presented with a number of options. 
• - Deactivate your PS4. 
• - Back up your saved data. 
• -Sign back in with your user account. 
• -Find the Initialization option. 
• -Choose Full on the Initialize screen.

Fix 3 : Wait for Sometime

TV and video app not playing in PS4 can be due to PSN server side issue. Such issue should resolve immediately or 1-2 days. Please wait for some hours and check back later.
