Fix iPhone 12/11 Disconnects from WiFi while using FaceTime

Fix 1: Turn on Airplane mode
This is a workaround to make sure that the FaceTime calls goes fine on the WiFi. Just turn on the airplane mode before making the call in WiFi
Fix 2: Turn off data/LTE for FaceTime
If iPhone is switching to phone data for WiFi call, then one workaround to stop iPhone from switching to mobile data from WiFi is to Turn off mobile data/LTE for the FaceTime app. This will stop the iPhone from switching to mobile data and disconnecting from WiFi. To Turn off mobile data for FaceTime Go to Settings> Mobile Data > Search for FaceTime > Turn off the data.
Fix 3: Use 5Ghz WiFi Network
There are chances that new iPhone software only works on 5Ghz; therefore, easy way to fix is to disable 2.4Ghz on the WiFi router.
How to Disable 2.4Ghz :
This vary for network provider (For AT&T customers) Go to http://192.168.1.254/cgi-bin/home.
- -login with your credentials
- - go to Broadband;
- -then under that go to WiFi
- -you may need your router access code printed on the router
- - then advanced options
- -click disable on the 2.4Ghz
- - scroll to the bottom and click save.
Fix 4: Set Date & Time to Automatic
This is also a workaround which is working for the many iPhone users->Toggle (off and back on again) the ‘Set Automatically’ switch in Settings > General > Date & Time.
