iPhone 12 No sound or Vibration for Notification on Lock Screen : iOS 14.5 ?

Many iPhone 12,XS users are facing issue with the iOS 14.5 update that while users receive a Notification , it appears on the lock screen but it does not makes any sound or vibration in the phone. Even the iPhone screen does not turn on when a notification is received. All the notification received in the iPhone are getting silent after iOS 14.5 update.

This is very annoying issue as iPhone gets a text with no sound. Apart from that iPhone users are also reporting that after the update the phone is more laggy  or slow. The iPhone not making any sound for notification is seen after iOS 14.5 update only. For some users the issue is with all the apps like messages or Whatsapp, Facebook notification etc while for some users Notification are silent for messages (Specific app). Also in some cases the notification are getting delayed in the iPhone 12 as well. 

How to fix iOS 14.5 Notification do make sound Alert or vibration while on Lock Screen ?

Fix 1: Reboot the iPhone

Sometimes updating the iPhone to new iOS version may cause software glitches that can cause such issue. To avoid such issues you should reboot the iPhone normally couple of time. If still this does not work you should try to do a force restart. 

Fix 2 : Check for Deliver Quietly Settings  

There are chances that you may have turned ON the "deliver quietly" setting on for that app. To check that, Hold down a notification and click the 3 dots...you should be able to see that setting.

Fix 3: Disconnect External/Bluetooth devise

If you have any active Bluetooth / Apple watch connection on your iPhone than please try disconnecting all the Bluetooth devices from the iPhone and  check if this help and iPhone get messages with sound, vibration, and screen wake. 

Fix 4 : Update the iOS version 

This may be issue in the iOS 14.5 release and possibly will be fixed by Apple in upcoming release. Please consider updating the iOS to latest version available.
