How to fix AirPods mic/Audio not working : iPhone /2021


Mary Airport users are facing issue with the mike that airport mic is not working properly. This is a very serious issue in AirPods as Mic keeps on disconnecting audio. While receiving a call the airport users audio is not audible to the other person, which clearly states that that Mic issue in the AirPods

Hearing with the AirPods is fine but the issue with audio in the AirPods exists. Even when trying with the headphone ,there is no mic related issue. It seems that the audio issue exists with AirPods only. 


Quick Fix for Airpods mic / Audio not working :


Fix 1: Put the AirPods Back in the Case and try to Reconnect


If AirPod mic is not working properly then the flashing the connection is most common solution to fix the issue. In order to do that you should try to place your AirPods in the charging case again.


Fix 2: Clean the Airpods with alcohol 


When a sensual fix that you should try is to clean the AirPods frequently. Dirt in the AirPods or in mic area can cause such issues like this one where Mic simply stops working in the AirPods. Can also use alcohol for the same purpose. Spray a cotton swab with rubbing alcohol—don't get it too wet— clean the area of mic. 


Fix 3:  Check Setting for Automatic switching 


If audio in your AirPods not working properly then check for the setting which allow switching the audio. Open Settings > Bluetooth and tap the Info icon next to your AirPods. Then tap Microphone and enable the Automatically Switch AirPods option to let your AirPods determine the most suitable microphone to use on the fly.


Fix 4: Reset The AirPods and Reconnect with iPhone

Even after trying out fixes audio in your AirPod is not working properly then you should try to reset the connection between iPhone and your AirPods.First reset the AirPods. To do that Start by putting them in their charging case or Smart Case. Then, press and hold the Status button on the charging case (or both the Noise Control button and the Digital Crown on the AirPods Max) until the status indicator turns amber.And that's it—you've reset them. Now open the charging case (or take your AirPods Max out of their Smart Case) next to your iPhone and tap Connect > Done.


Even after trying all these fixes still Mike is not working then you should try firmware update of Airpods.
