Elon Musk, Donald Trump Out Of Order, Federal Judge Says

A judge has confirmed what many of us already speculated: America’s first play cousin (aka Elon Musk) and his gang of nerdy teens should have never been given the keys to the federal castle, and everything they did to end U.S. Agency for International Development (USAid) was most likely unconstitutional.
In a preliminary ruling, U.S. District Judge Theodore Chuang found that Elon Musk, Donald Trump’s benefactor, must turn the lights back on and restore access to “USAID’s computer systems for its direct and contract employees,” Reuters reports.
“Today’s decision is an important victory against Elon Musk and his DOGE attack on USAID, the U.S. government and the Constitution,” Norm Eisen, lawyer for the 26 anonymous USAid plaintiffs in the case, told Reuters.
Donald Trump plans to appeal the ruling, of course, because he hates learning that his haphazard management style has been thwarted by the U.S. Constitution
“I guarantee you we will be appealing it. We have rogue judges that are destroying our country,” Trump said on a Fox News show called. “Hey, Mr. President. Come on our show and lie to America,” or as it’s most commonly known, “The Ingraham Angle.”

For those that don’t remember, on his first days in office, Trump ordered a 90-day freeze of all U.S. foreign aid, but there was no review of this action — as he was barely in office a few weeks when America’s least favorite South African began shutting everything down at USAID’s office under the fictional government department, DOGE.
“Musk and DOGE gained access to USAID’s payment and email systems, froze many of its payments and told much of its staff they were being placed on leave. On February 3, Musk wrote on X that he had ‘spent the weekend feeding USAID into the wood chipper,’” Reuters reports.
Several former USAID employees then filed suit claiming that Musk took control of the entire operation, behaving like he was an appointed and Congress-vetted higher-up, which violates the Constitution since Musk is nothing more than a really rich private citizen.
Chuang agreed that Musk and DOGE “likely violated the United States Constitution in multiple ways, and that these actions harmed not only plaintiffs, but also the public interest,” Reuters reports.

Trump officials kicked the same company line that they’ve been kicking since Musk was tasked with doing the president’s bidding, claiming that he’s nothing more than an advisor to the president and all actions carried out at USAID were done by agency officials. But Chuang saw through all that and found that anything done to dismantle USAID was done at the request of Musk and DOGE and demanded that access be restored to the building and computers. But I’m not sure what any of that will do since damn near everyone working for the agency, both in America and abroad has been fired and the judge found that those terminations, while most-likely unconstitutional, were approved by government officials.
This is the second L the Trump White House has taken against USAID lawsuits. Just last week, U.S. District Judge Amir Ali, ordered the administration to release frozen payments to contractors for work that was already done before the crazy South African came through and crushed the buildings.
