Black Church PAC Launches Door-to-Door Campaign to Boost Black Voter Turnout

The Black Church PAC is doing its part to mobilize Black voters ahead of the 2024 presidential election. They have launched a “100K Strong: Knock for Change, Vote for Justice” initiative in the weeks winding down to the election.

“The Black Church has always been at the forefront of justice and liberation,” Pastor Mike McBride, co-founder of Black Church PAC, said in a press release. “100K Strong is about knocking on doors to not only register voters but to spark the change that will shape our future after Election Day. This movement will, undoubtedly, extend beyond November and will ensure that every Black life and every Black vote is both valued and respected in our world.”

Black Church PAC will leverage its arsenal of churches to train, activate and deploy more than 500 canvassers to knock on doors, empower voters, verify registrations and assist in registering new voters. The door-to-door effort kicked off in Michigan on October 13 and will continue through November 3 in other swing states like Georgia and North Carolina. The 100K Strong campaign is part of a larger campaign to continue the legacy work of Black churches mobilizing “Souls to the Polls” through voter rights work and education.  

“100K Strong isn’t just about numbers; it’s about power,” Bishop Edgar Vann II of Second Ebenezer Church said. “We in Wayne County are doing this work to empower our community to exercise their right and make sound, informed decisions that safeguard their families and their futures. With this being one of the most pivotal presidential elections of our time, it is imperative that every single one of us is ready, and willing to stand up and be counted this November.”

The Black Church PAC is a coalition born from the Black church and contains people who are faith leaders, influencers, artists and lay members who are committed to using the political power of the Black church to impact national and local elections. They desire to engage Black communities in the political process, advocate for policies that mirror their values, and empower new generations of leadership.
