iPhone Calendar changing Event time by hours ? [Fix]

Many iPhone users are facing issue with creating event in iCalendar and setting it to a specific time. When you create an event in the iCalendar app, and after saving it, iCal will automatically changes the time to 4 hours earlier. This is happening across all different type of calendars including Google Calendar. The event time is changed by 4 or 5 hours by the Event.

Apple calendar changing event time: iOS 15

iPhone calendar events are being set for the wrong time randomly. The issue is with random event and not happening with every event in the iPhone. The issue is seen on iPhone 13 Pro Max, 12 etc with iOS 15 and iCloud calendar as well.

Why is the calendar app changing the time of my event?

The issue seem to event with specific nature. if i save an event as ‘all day’ and then come in later to update the time to a specific time, the calendar saves it as 4 hours earlier. This seems to be bug in iOS and Apple calendar app which is causing random rescheduling of event in Apple, iCloud calendar.

How to fix iPhone Calendar Keeps on changing Event time : iPhone 13,12,XR,XS MAX, 11, iPad, iOS 15.4

Workaround:  Use Web Browser version

It appears that the iPhone’s calendar app is causing time of event to change.  If you are using Google Calendar then to set a calendar event you can use Web browser to create event in Google calendar. This will create right event time and it will not change.

Fix : Second Time edit

Another workaround to fix the issue is to do a second edit of the event to change it from Apple assigned random time to the time. After this the Apple won’t change the data anymore.

Fix : Delete and create a new event

The issue occurs when you change ‘all day’ event to a specific time, the calendar saves it as 4 hours earlier. As  a workaround try creating a new event directly with the time mentioned. This seems to work normally.

Fix: Check Date Time settings

One other common solution is to try date time setting. Check iPhone date and time settings to make sure your timezone is correct. You can do that in Settings > General > Date & Time.

Next check to see if "Time Zone override" is enabled in Settings > Calendar.

Fix : Report issue to Apple and update iOS

This seems to be issue with the Apple calendar app and it seen across iPhone and iPad devices on iOS 15. Please report the issue to Apple and keep updating to latest iOS version to get fix for iCalendar randomly rescheduling events  by hours.
