Fix 1: Reinstall the App to latest version
Try to uninstall the app from your iPhone and reboot your iPhone. Now download the latest version of Google Duo app from Appstore and check if this fixes the issue.
Fix 2: Logout and reboot
There could be issue with your account on the Google Duo and the Google server. Try logging out from the app and after that reboot your iPhone. Once the iPhone is up, login back to Google Duo app. Check if this fixes the issue.
Fix : Check for camera and microphone permission
