How to fix Xfinity voice control not working “somethings not right, try again later”?

Xinfinity users are faing Many xfinity users are facing issue with the remote not working and xfinity is not responding to voice commands , however other function of the remote works well. When you will press the mic button it tells us "somethings not right, try again later"

How to fix XFINITY REMOTE voice control not working : 2021

Fix : Toggle Voice control on xinfinity 

Try going to the home page, press the Flex home button. Then, using the arrow buttons, select the small gear symbol on the upper left corner. You should see the settings menu. Scroll down to and select Remote Settings. Scroll to Voice Control. If it's Off, turn it On. I don't know why there's a "voice control not working" instead of a Voice Control Is Off.

Fix : Reboot  set top box 

To fix xfinity voice control not working try to  unplug the set top box and restart it. Works for many users who are facing this issue. The voice command issue in the xfinity is random but keeps on recurring again and again even in year 2021.

Many old age users depends upon the voice control of xfinity remote and due to this issue they are not able to  use the remote. Please try below workaround/troubleshoot to fix voice control issue in the xfinity remote. 

Fix : Check battery level

On XR 15 remote go to Press xfinity > Settings > Remote Settings and follow the on-screen prompts.

Here you can Check the battery power. Also for XR15 you will see below option as well. 

Fix : Try repair the Voice Remote to the TV box

If voice commands on xfinity remote does not work then one easy fix is to  unpair and pair again 

• Hold Setup until the All Power button goes from red to solid green.
• Press xfinity button once.
• Enter the three digits that appear on the TV screen.

Fix : Factory reset Voice Remote

If none of the troubleshooting steps does not help you then you should try to factory reset the remote to the factory settings. 

• Press the Setup button until the LED at the top of the remote changes from red to green.
• Press 9-8-1.
• The LED will blink green twice to indicate that the remote was reset.
• Need to re-pair remote to TV Box after reset.
• Pair remote to DVR TV Box.
• Will not pair to RNG-150 TV Box-not supported.
• Hold down Voice button and complete sentence.

Fix : check remote is paired with correct TV only

Pairing the remote to a TV Box means the remote will control only that box unless it's then paired to a different box. If you have multiple TV Boxes and have paired your remote to one of your TV Boxes, make sure that you're using the remote that's paired to that specific TV Box.

Fix : Try resetting the box. 

Try swapping the box out or resetting the box, that’s the last thing to try to troubleshoot
