How to fix Spotify Group Session not working, error “Sorry, couldn't find that” : iPhone/Android?

Spotify Group session Music is an amazing feature, which lets you enjoy listening together. Spotify users are facing issue with the Group session feature not working properly. The issue started randomly on the Spotify started randomly. In some cases the spotify group session won’t end while in some cases after ending one session if you try to start other session the Spotify won’t let you start a new session and gives error “Sorry, couldn't find that”. Sometimes no one can connect to the Spotify session. Restarting the phone and reinstalling the app, nothing works.

Spotify Group session not working 

The Spotify Group link is not working and the people are not able to join the session from the Spotify link. It seems that the links are buggy in spotify session. Not only this but there are also other Spotify session issue faced by the users as listed below:

• Spotify listen together not working . Spotify session songs are played only on host devices and not on all the members of the session.
• Unable to join spotify link "Couldn't Open Link Spotify can't open this type of link on this device."
• iPhone 6s and our older gen iPad don’t have the option to create or join a group session.

• Spotify Group Session no sound on the music played on iPhone/ Android phones

• Can join the Spotify group session but have no sound and inserting/removing headphones kicks user out.

How to fix Spotify Group session not working/ Unable to join Group Session : iPhone 13, Samsung, Oneplus, Android phones . 

Fix : Use Scan code to Join 

If Spotify session link is not working then easy workaround to join Spotify session is, instead of getting the link / clicking the link, please use “scan to join” method & it should  worked just fine.

Fix : Synchronise the time 

The spotify session not workin error is majorly due to users in different time zone. If you are all user in session are from  different time offse and then the error are caused by the system time on one of the computers being incorrect. To fix that synchronise the time to an internet time server (such as time.google.com) and that should fix the issue.

Fix : Install same version of Spotify on all devices

Make sure all the persons joining the Spotify have latest/ same version of spotify app. Also if you are having different make of phone eg iPhone and android version, make sure you have compatible version of Spotify app installed on the all apps. 

Fix : Logout and reinstall the app

One solution to fix unable to join spotify app Group session is to logout from Spotify app and uninstall the app. After that reinstall the app and login back. Check if the issue is fixed now.

Fix : Update the Spotify app

The Group session issue is reported to the Spotify team and we expect Spotify to roll out permanent fix soon, So to get the stable group session feature please update the app to latest version as per PlayStore and Appstore.
