The Google maps have been reported with many issue after latest update of Google maps was installed. Apart from Crashing and freezing many users are facing issue that Google maps is causing heating up iPhone. The iPhones are getting hot while using the Google maps app.
In iPhone 12,11 the Google apps keeps on crashing and does not load any search result. The issue is intermittent and does not happen every time on the iPhone. But Google apps keep on crashing is annoying issue as Google app is among the most used apps from mobile users and lots of things are done using the Google app.

Fix : Restart the app
If the Google app is freezing frequently on the iPhone or heating up the iPhone then as quick fix you can try to force close the app and start it again. You can further reboot the iPhone if restarting the app does not work.
Fix : Toggle internet mode
While using the Google app please ensure that you have good internet connection. Try to use different internet connection like WiFI or mobile data for the app. Check if this helps to fix the issue.
Fix : Reset iPhone
There might be some software glitch in the iPhone with Google apps that may cause heating up or crashing issue of the app. To fix that try to reset the iPhone setting to default. Go to iPhone settings-> General->Reset or Transfer iPhone-> Reset settings. This will not erase any data but all settings like saved password will be reset.
Fix : Update the google app
If Google app is not working on iPhone after iOS update then you should try to update Google app to latest version available on the Appstore. Sometimes changes made in latest iOS are not supported by third party apps older versions. To fix that please ensure to keep your iPhone Google app up to date.
