How to fix WiFi problem after iOS 14.7.1/iOS 15 update?



After update the iPhone to latest iOS 14.7.1 some users are facing issue with WiFi not connection. The WiFi is not working on iPhone after updating to iOS 14.7.1. The issue seems to be widespread across different iPhone models, iPad and lots of users are facing issue in connecting iPhone to WiFi. In some cases the iPhone connects to WiFi but disconnects, Swiftly shown connected and disconnected.

How to fix iPhone not connecting to WiFi after iOS 14.7.1 / iOS 15 update : iPhone 12 Pro Max, 11,XR,XS,X, iPad , iPadOS 


Fix 1: Turn off Bluetooth


This is more like a workaround to fix Wifi issue in iOS 14.7.1/ iOS 14. Many users are able to fix the Wi-Fi issue in iPhone by Turning off the Bluetooth on the iPhone. This seems to be issue in the iOS as turning off the Bluetooth causes Wifi to work normally. 



Fix 2 : Delete and Re join the network


To fix WiFI issue in the you should try to forget the network and connect again. Here are the steps to do it :

  • -Delete the Network from the iPhone
  • -Restart the iPhone
  • -Join the network again
  • -Check the WiFi network works or not


Fix 3: Toggle Airplane mode


If you are connected to wiFi and internet is not working on the iPhone in iOS 14.7.1 then you should try to Toggle the Airplane mode of the iPhone. 

  • -Turn ON the Airplance mode on iPhone,
  • -Connect to WiFi and check if it works
  • -Wait for atleast 30 seconds
  • -Turn off the Airplane mode 
  • -Now check if Wi-Fi works or not


Fix 4 : Reset Network Settings


There are chances that during iOS update there may occur some software glitch in the iPhone due to which network error may occur. To fix this issue a network reset will be helpful

  • -Go to Settings app
  • -Go to General Settings
  • -Tap on Reset
  • -Reset Network settings



Fix 5 : Select Auto Join


This is also a workaround to fix WiFi issue in the iPhone. To do this you should go to open WI-FI settings and turn on Auto join for that and Wifi should work normally after that. 


Fix 6: Delete VPN


If you are using any VPN apps we recommend you to delete these , as they may affect your iPhone WiFI connection. On the iPhone in Settings App-> Check general- VPN and delete any that are there.


Fix 7 : Contact Apple and update to latest iOS
