Sound emojis missing/Not working on Facebook messenger : iPhone/Android

Many iPhone 12 Pro/ 11/Pixel/ Android phone users are facing issue after the latest iOS 14.7 update the Facebook messenger sound emojis not working. After the update in the iPhone  when click the smiley face in a chat text box there is no Soundmoji icon. Also if someone sends a Soundmoji it does not work in the iPhone on iOS 14.7. There is no sound icon after updating to the newest version of messenger.

This is very annoying that iPhone don’t have the sound emojis and can’t play/hear it also when somebody sends such sound emojis. This seems to be issue with the latest update on Facebook messenger and iOS.

How to fix Soundmoji missing from the Facebook messenger : 

Solution 1 : Make sure to enable audio access for Facebook Messenger

For using soundmojis on the iPhone and android phone, Facebook messenger should have access to phone audio. Please ensure to enable audio access for Facebook Messenger. 

Solution 2: Uninstall and reinstall the app

Minor software glitch may occur during an update process and which may cause such issue. To fix that just reinstall the app again and check if this fixes the issue.

Solution 3: Clear Cache and App data

Clearing Cache and app data from phone storage can also help in fix local software issue in the Facebook messenger app. 

To clear Cache on Android:

1. Go to the Settings menu on your device.
2. Tap Storage. Tap "Storage" in your Android's settings. ...
3. Tap Internal Storage under Device Storage. Tap "Internal storage." ...
4. Tap Cached data. Tap "Cached data." ...
5. Tap OK when a dialog box appears asking if you're sure you want to clear all app cache.

To Clear Cache on iPhone:

1. Open your iPhone's settings.
2. Scroll until you see the eligible app, then tap it.
3. Look for a "Clear cache" option. If the toggle next to it is green, tap it to clear the app's cache.

Fix 4: Update the app

There are chances that soundmoji are missing from the iPhone due to issue in the latest version of the Facebook messenger. To fix that Facebook will have to roll out new update with permanent fix. Please check for any pending updates of Facebook messenger and keep the app on latest version.
