How to fix Snapchat Device ban : iPhone /iPad/ Android ?


Many Snapchat users are reporting issue that their device is banned on Snapchat permanently. It seems that the ban is no on account but a specific device like iPhone, Android phone model. When try to create a new users account it, every new account created is getting locked.

Many reports suggest that the Snapchat device ban is based on device IMEI number and not on IP address or eSIM , SIM card based. The IMEI number is a unique number that every phone have and can’t be changed or modified.

Solution 1: Wait for few weeks


The social networking apps keeps on adding different safety feature to them. The issue like device ban should be actually temporary, just wait few weeks and the your device should work normally after that. Please note that in some cases the ban may 


Solution 2: Get a new device


If you are in urgency to use your Snapchat account then easy to get this work is to use different device to open your account. If your account is locked it may take upto 24 hours to unlock it. So before buying any new phone you should try on some other friend device. 


Solution 3: Date Time settings 


  1. Delete the Snapchat app
  2. Restart your device and leave the default settings.
  3. Go to Settings > General > Date & Time & change the date to exactly 1or 3 or 6  month ahead.
  4. Download the Snapchat app
  5. Create a new account. DO NOT try to log into a permanently locked account as you will have to do these steps all over again.
