Fix 2: reboot the iPhone
Some times the internal software glitches also cause such issues and you should try a normal reboot to the iPhone to eliminate such issue.
Fix 3: Reinstall the app
Even updating the app does not helps you then you should consider reinstalling the app. This will clear any cache and temporary files of the app stored in iPhone as well. After reinstalling the app check if the Audible app works fine now.
