How to fix iPhone making click sound with haptic touch: iPhone 12/11 Pro Max/XS/XR/11 / iOS 14

Fix 1: Haptic settings

Go to SETTINGS  -> Accessibility  ->Touch - in the touch menu is the hidden haptic vibration control.

Fix 2:  Turn off vibration feedback

The sound during long press supposedly belongs to "System Haptics" below "Keyboard Clicks" & "Lock Sound", the iPhone with 3D touch, does not have that on/off option for "System Haptics"

For long press there are two kinds of feedbacks:

  1. To turn off Vibration Feedback, go to  Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Vibration (toggle)
  2. Sound Feedback, supposedly can turn on/off in Settings > Sounds & Haptics > System Haptics (but the issue here is, toggle on/off on this still always gives sound feedback during long press)

Hope this article helps you to turn off Haptic sound / vibration in the iPhone .
