Airtag is very cool accessory recently released by Apple and it lets you track your important items all the time from your iPhone. Using Find My app you can track multiple Airtag in iPhone 12 and 11.
But many a times we want to track an item by different people like in family different person may want to track a particular key etc. But is it possible to share and track AirTags with family members or track airtag from different apple accounts.
Can we Family Share Airtag to track from Multiple devices.
In simple words you cannot and nothing will appear in family share. Airtags are designed to be associated and tracked from only one iPhone. Airtags are associated with one Apple ID, not any particular hardware.But if you take a friend of family member Airtag with you it will start alerting you that you are traveling with someone else’s air tag.
You will get this alert only when the actual owner of the Airtag is not around you. With this setting it will interesting to know how AirTags play out in an office setting with many people’s AirTags nearby. It like Suddenly every nearby Airtag starts beeping because you're near an AirTag but the owner isn't nearby.
Sharing the Airtag will be a great feature in future from Apple as lots of time it makes sense to share Airtag with family members. Hopefully Apple will add this feature in upcoming releases.
