How to fix Phone speaker not working during call ?

Many a times you might face issue when phone speaker stops working. Specially when you are receiving a call and you want to put it on speaker mode, but you will suddenly find that there is no audio when phone calls are placed on speaker. 

The issue is seen across different phones like iPhone 12,11, XS Pro Max, Samsung Galaxy Series , OnePlus phones etc. The reason behind this could be different like software issue or hardware issue. In both cases we will have to do troubleshooting steps first.

Fix 1: Check Speaker volume

Check the volume of speaker while receiving a call. Accidently you might have reduced  the volume to zero and probably this is the cause why there is no sound from speaker on call. Increase the volume from side button of your phone.

Fix 2: Clear the phone cache

Go to setting of your phone and clear cache from the phone settings. Open settings>apps>allapps>phone>clear data.

Fix 3: Check for Headphone output

This is a hardware glitch that usually occur when you insert earphone jack in your phone and removed is wrongly / software bug.  The phone stays in earphone mode, you can check it at top of your phone with headphone icon. Thus phone speaker does not work well. 

Fix 4: Check speaker with other app

Try making a whatsapp call in speaker mode, if it works then this might be issue in Android or iOS version. 

Fix 5: Remove malicious app and update the phone 

If you have installed any app not from Appstore.playstore/ like directly from some website then there is chances that the faulty app has caused issue in the Phone. Try removing the unnecessary apps. Also ensure to keep your phone upto date by firmware updates (Android / iOS)
