How to fix delayed Notification in iPhone 12/11 ? (Whatsapp FaceTime Facebook)

 

Many iPhone 12 pro max, 11, access users are facing issue related to delete notification in the iPhone with iOS 14. When iPhone is in the lock screen and screen is off the notifications are received after five minutes. Moment the notification of a particular app shows, it says that "2m ago" for some like me it shows "7m ago".In some cases it is taking more than five minutes. The notification in iPhone are not working as expected, no notifications for Whatsapp, iMessages, gmail, Telegram etc for about 2-4 min.  The more annoying thing about iPhone getting delayed notification is that the issue is not permanent in many devices and it seems like that iPhone is getting late notification randomly.

Delayed notification in iPhone 

The delayed notification in iPhone started after iOS 14./ iOS 14.4  and seems to occur with all type of applications like WhatsApp, Facebook, FaceTime call etc. The possible cause for the delete notification in iPhone I like DND mode or bedtime mode. But even when these features are turned off iPhone is getting notifications after sometime. The issue is very serious as if you’re getting a FaceTime call you will get notification after few minutes then there is no point in it. What is in case from messages, messages sent are always delayed iPhone.

Fix 1:  Turn on Character Preview: 

It seems that character preview settings is creating problem for many iPhone users. Tried to turn on the connector business setting and check if notifications are working fine.

1. Go to settings
2. General
3. Keyboard
4. Turn character preview to on

Fix 2: Change Notification Style in setting

You can customise notifications in iPhone settings. If fix one do not work for you then you should try changing the notification style. There are different modes change to temporary, persistent, banners, locked, etc, many user found that changing the notification style helps.

Fix 3: Reset the iPhone and update to latest iOS versions

Delay in notification on the iPhone can occur due to some software glitches. To fix some glitches you can try to reboot or reset the iPhone. This won’t delete any data from the iPhone. If resetting the iPhone does not help to fix notification issue in the iPhone then you should report the issue to Apple support team or wait for next release of iOS for a permanent solution.
