iPhone 12 Pro, 11 , XS , XR users are reporting issue that while taking a screenshot the the iPhone freezes up. The issue started after updating the iPhone to iOS 14. In any app like WhatsApp or Facebook messenger when iPhone user takes a screenshot and try to share it the iPhone gets frozen.

iPhone freezing on Screenshot screen issue was initially faced on the initial release of iOS 14 but the same issue is now even reported with iOS 14.3. The issue is like once you take a screenshot on the iPhone it will give you option to edit it. After doing the cropping and removing the fingers from the screen the phone gets frozen up.
Sliding the screen up to close the app doesn’t work. Only way to get rid of frozen screen is to lock and unlock the phone to use it again.
This seems to be a software issue in iOS 14 has almost all the iPhone models are affected with this bug. Even the iPhone 12pro max with latest iOS 14.3 freeze all the time when taking screenshot.

Fix 1 : Reinstall the app
If this issue happing with you with any app you try to share to just have a try to delete the app and reinstall it from the app Store.
Fix 2: Turn off back tapping
Try with disabling the back tap feature entirely on iPhone and restart the phone. Try to take screenshot on the iPhone it should not freeze now.
Fix 3: Report issue to Apple
As iPhone freezing while taking screenshot is slated to iOS 14 so permanent fix for the issue will be released by Apple in upcoming release of iOS 14. So if you’re also facing this issue you should report it to Apple , and always consider updating to latest iOS 14 versions for a permanent fix.
