How to fix Incoming call show the caller ID from the the last number called on whatsapp : iOS 14
In iOS 14 many iPhone users are facing issue of wrong caller ID or incoming calls which means you will see a different name than the actual caller. This seems to be issue introduced in iOS 14 as the caller ID was working properly in iOS 13. The iPhone after update to iOS 14 shows caller Id/Name of the WhatsApp call done before instead.

The wrong call ID is quite misleading for iPhone users as wrong names starts to appear for the calls.
For example if someone in your contact “A” is calling you but when caller id is getting wrong in iPhone it will show you Name of some other person “B”, where B can be from last dialled list.
This issue is very frustrating as iPhone users unable to detect who is calling them specially in the case when they have a missed call they cannot identify who called them in iOS 14. The issue is more prominent if you had made a WhatsApp call, then the next call you will receive will name displayed is wrong. It's usually showing the number I last dialled on Whatsapp as a caller ID of the next number that is calling me via direct LINE which means A call coming in from LINE will display as my last outgoing whatsapp call.
One more issue related to caller Id is started after iOS 14 update that incoming calls no longer show the location they are calling from. It used to have the city and state with the incoming call, now it says "United States" for all numbers.
What is more bad news is that in the latest 14.0.1 does not fix this issue. Surely Apple should consider fixing such important issues on priority.

Fix 1:Reset iPhone network settings
For issues related to calling feature of iPhone, resetting the network is a good time shooting s. Please note this will also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you’ve used before.
- Go to Settings
- Tap on General
- Click on Reset
- Select Reset Network Settings.
- iPhone will reboot and check the issue again
Fix 2: Hard reset your iPhone
For New version iPhone (11,X,XR) with Face ID, please follow below stesp:
- Press and hold either volume button and the side button until the power off slider appears.
- Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off.
- To turn your device back on, press and hold the side button (on the right side of your iPhone) until you see the Apple logo.
For other iPhone model with home button
- Press and hold the side button until the power off slider appears.
- Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off.
- To turn your device back on, press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.
Fix 3: Rest All Setting
The quality issue can be due to some set up all configurations issues issues while installing iOS 14, you can fix these issues by resetting of iPhone. Go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings. Please note that this will reset all your settings in iPhone, so please make sure to take backup in case of any issues after resetting.
Fix 4: Contact your network Service provider
If none of the above steps had to fix caller ID issue in iPhone, iOS 14 then you should know that Caller ID is a carrier feature, Contact your carrier and ask them for any pending updates.
Fix 5: Update the iOS
IOS 14 does have many bugs related to Widgets etc. The round caller ID in iPhone can also be a bug in iOS 14. In order for permanent fix you should report this issue to Apple and wait for a permanent fix in iOS 14 next leases.
